NET JUNE 2012 VICTIMS MEETING
June victims including petitioners and nonpetitioners had organised a meeting today (19/4/2013) at Shikshak sadan Calicut. It was organised as continuity to the meeting held at Trivandrum Last monday. Advocate Jaison abraham was the guest of the meeting. Around 250 people came from 6 districts of north Kerala. In his speech the advocate said the order of single bench of Kerala high court is strong to counter. The time of DB order cannot be said. The UGC is trying to delay the matter. To reduce the cost of court fee, they even not filed appeal against all the 3000 petitioners who filed petition against them. Instead of they took one or two representative petition from many place and crossed that only and this technically lead to time lag in taking file for hearing. So the delay technic can be expected in future. The already PSC applied candidate has no problem till the exam, but nothing can be said on the event of interview when the case is pending. The refusal of stay for single bench by Division bench makes the candidates as NET passed. If a petition for contempt of court for not issuing certificate within one month as said by SB will lead to worse this situation because it will lead the court to allow the stay as UGC asked as there is no alternative for court because UGC given appeal in DB for quashing SB Order.
In the meeting it is decided to file a caveat petition in supreme court just one or two days after the DB verdict ( if DB favors students) by petitioners. If UGC will approach supreme court first the chance of giving stay for SB/DB order is more. If a stay is got the position of PSC applied will be disqualified. So a Caveat petition is necessary as it works as a guard. UGC cannot file petition before hearing of candidate.
A format of a letter was distributed in meeting. The letter is addressed to prime minister. The organisers claimed they had met Mr Pallam Raju at kasarkode, but no further action. The same response is from other politician also. All fell this is not an important issue. To make it as an important issue a letter with same format to be send individually to Prime minister, Opposition Leader, Speaker and MHRD Minister. So instruction were given to all candidates to take 4 photocopy of this letter ( format is uploaded here) and send the same to the above said persons, no need to change the salutation. The letter which send to speaker should only contain a tick mark in the copy to speaker mentioned at the end of letter. They said one copy of letter should send to your victim friend and suggest him to take 5 copies- 4 for him to send the pm,speaker, opposition leader and minister hrd and one to his friend. And if a lot of letter with same matter is received they will have a feeling that the matter is important.
In the meeting around 200 candidates came. They collected their address, mail ids, mobile no and signature. They asked in a column about willingness of filing in Supreme court. A separate address and signature were also collected for giving a representation to KPSC regarding exam matters
